RETINALAMIN (retinalamin) is an ophthalmic drug belongs to the group of regenerates and reparants. Retinalamin is a peptide bioregulator.The drug stimulates the cellular elements and photoreceptors of the retina, improves the functional interaction of pigment epithelium and external segments of photoreceptors in dystrophic changes. Retinalamin accelerates the process of restoring the retina's light sensitivity. Normalizes the permeability of the eye vessels, stimulates regeneration after injuries and inflammatory processes of the retina.

Each vial contains: Drug substance – Retinalamin 5 mg (water-soluble complex of polypeptide fractions of young animals’ retina), Excipient – Glycine 17 mg (stabilizer).
Dosage for adults with diabetic retinopathy, post-traumatic and post-inflammatory central retinal dystrophy, central and peripheral tapetoretinal abiotrophy: parabulbar or intramuscular injections of 5-10 mg once a day. Length of therapy: 5-10 days
Dosage for adults with compensated primary open-angle glaucoma: parabulbar or intramuscular injections of 5 mg once a day. . Length of therapy: 10 days
Dosage for adults with myopia: parabulbar injections of 5 mg once a day. Length of therapy: 10 days.
Retinalamin is dissolved in 1.2 ml of water for injection, 0.9% of chloride or 0.5% sodium chloride solution, procaine (novocaine); prevent foaming.
The drug is contraindicated in case of hypersensitivity to its components, as well as during pregnancy.
No reported cases of adverse effects. Allergic reactions are possible in case of individual intolerance to any component of medication.
