GRANDAXIN (Tofisopam) belongs to the pharmacological group of tranquilizers. It is used in the complex treatment of various disorders of the higher nervous activity of man, which are accompanied by a decrease in mood.
It has anxiolytic effect without the development of drowsiness, congestion (excessive sedation), muscle weakness (muscle relaxation) and anticonvulsant effect. It does not cause addiction, physical or mental dependence and subsequent withdrawal syndrome.

Suggested Use

Dosage is selected on an individual basis taking into account the health condition, the clinical course of the disease, individual characteristics, susceptibility to the active substance Grandaxin.
Dosage for Adults: 50-100 mg, 1-3 times a day. The maximum daily dose is 300 mg.
Dosage for Children older than 14 years: 50-100 mg, 2 times /day. The maximum daily dose is 200 mg.
Don’ t take the drug after 15-16:00 hours to prevent sleep disorders.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the active or any other component of the drug or any other benzodiazepines; conditions accompanied by severe psychomotor agitation, aggressiveness or severe depression; decompensated respiratory failure; trimester of pregnancy and lactation; sleep apnea syndrome (history); concomitant use with tacrolimus, sirolimus, cyclosporine; galactose intolerance, congenital lactase deficiency or glucose malabsorption syndrome and galactose (the drug contains lactose monohydrate).

Side Effects

Gastrointestinal tract: decreased appetite, constipation, increased separation of gases, nausea, dry mouth. In some cases, stagnant jaundice is possible. From the CNS: there may be headache, insomnia, irritability, excitement, psychomotor agitation, confusion, convulsive seizures may occur in patients with epilepsy. Allergic reactions: exanthema, scarlet fever-like exanthema, itching. Musculoskeletal system: muscle tension, muscle pain. Respiratory system: respiratory depression.

Storage

Store in dry place at room temperature. Do not exceed storage temperature higher than 25 degrees Celcius. Keep away from direct sunlight. Keep locked and away from children.
