DUPHASTON (Dydrogesterone) is is an artificially synthesized drug, an analogue of the female hormone progesterone. Its molecular structure and pharmacological properties are similar to natural progesterone. Duphaston has no androgenic and anabolic effect, does not have estrogenic activity, creates favorable conditions for the positive effect of estrogens on fat metabolism, does not have a negative impact on the coagulation system. Suggested Use

Duphaston is produced in form of pills. Active substance: Dydrogesterone 10 mg. Excipients: Lactose monohydrate .

A single dose of the drug is 10 mg, the frequency of administration and the period of treatment depend on clinical indications.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.

Side Effects

The hematopoietic system: hemolytic anemia. The immune system: in very rare cases - hypersensitivity reactions. The Central nervous system: headache, migraine. The hepatobiliary system: rarely-minor liver dysfunction, sometimes accompanied by weakness or malaise, jaundice or pain in the abdomen. On the part of the reproductive system: in rare cases-breakthrough uterine bleeding (which can be prevented by increasing the dose); hypersensitivity of the mammary glands. Skin and subcutaneous tissue: allergic reactions such as skin rash, itching, hives. Very rarely - edema Quincke. General disorders: very rarely - peripheral edema.
