DIUVER (torasemide ) is a drug that has a diuretic effect .The main ingredient of Diuver is Torasemid that belongs to the powerful diuretic drugs by impacting on the loop of Henle (part of the kidneys).It inhibits the processes of reabsorption of water and salts in the renal tubules, and increases their excretion along with the urine, thereby increasing the rate of formation of urine and decreasing the amount of fluid contained in the tissues and serous cavities . Suggested Use

Main ingredient: torasemide 10mg.

Auxiliary substance: lactose monohydrate, maize starch, sodium starch glycolate, silica colloidal anhydrous, magnesium stearate

Diuver is taken orally after eating in the morning.

Edema of various origins: initial dosage is 5mg a day. If it is required the dose may be gradually increased to 20-40mg a day, in some cases - to 200mg a day. Diuver should be taken for a long time, until the complete disappearance of edema or until the doctor says to stop treatment.

Arterial Hypertension: initial dosage is 2,5mg a day. If required the dose may be increased to 5mg a day.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to torasemide or to any of the components of the drug; in patients with allergies to sulfonamides (sulfanilamide antimicrobials or sulfonylureas); renal failure with anuria; hepatic coma and precoma; severe hypokalemia; severe hyponatremia; hypovolemia (with or without hypotension) or dehydration; severe violations of urine outflow of any etiology (including unilateral defeat urinary tract); glycoside intoxication; acute glomerulonephritis; decompensated aortic and mitral stenosis, hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy; increased Central venous pressure (over 10 mm Hg.art.); hyperuricemia; age up to 18 years; lactation; lactose intolerance, lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption.

Side Effects

Water-electrolyte and acid-base balance: hyponatremia, hypochloremia, hypokalemia, hypomagnesemia, hypocalcemia, metabolic alkalosis. Symptoms indicating the development of electrolyte disorders, acid-base state may be headache, confusion, convulsions, tetany, muscle weakness, cardiac arrhythmias and dyspeptic disorders; hypovolemia and dehydration (more often in elderly patients), which can lead to hemoconcentration with a tendency to thrombosis. Cardiovascular system: excessive decrease in blood pressure, orthostatic hypotension, collapse, tachycardia, arrhythmias, decrease in circulating blood. On the part of metabolism: hypercholesterolemia, hypertriglyceridemia; transient increase in the concentration of creatinine and urea in the blood; increase in the concentration of uric acid in the blood, which can cause or enhance the manifestations of gout; reduced glucose tolerance (possible manifestation of latent diabetes). Urinary system: oliguria, acute urinary retention (eg, prostatic hyperplasia, narrowing of the urethra, hydronephrosis); interstitial nephritis, hematuria, decreased potency. Digestive tract: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, intrahepatic cholestasis, increased activity of "liver" enzymes, acute pancreatitis. Central nervous system, hearing organ: hearing impairment, usually reversible, and / or tinnitus, especially in patients with renal failure or hypoproteinemia (nephrotic syndrome), paresthesia. Skin: itching, urticaria, other types of rash or skin lesions, polymorphic erythema, exfoliative dermatitis, purpura, fever, vasculitis, eosinophilia, photosensitization; severe anaphylactic or anaphylactoid reactions up to shock, which have so far been described only after intravenous administration. Peripheral blood: thrombocytopenia, leukopenia, agranulocytosis, aplastic or hemolytic anemia.
